Director's Comments
Patrick Oliver Ltd was created during the summer of 2016. I, Gemma Patrick designed the company and website from my past experiences and I started commercially trading from November 2016. My company joined NAEA, ARLA, Property Redress Scheme, and Client Money Protection. I signed up to Money Laundering Regulations and Information Commissioning Office, as well as opening our Business and Client Accounts.
Our first quarter was a roaring success! We took on landlords known to us previously so we quickly established our lettings and property management side of the business. We now have 20 very satisfied landlords for whose properties and tenancies we manage on a daily basis. Our online approach has proven successful with much faster communications and therefore, we are able to manage any maintenance or tenancy issues promptly.
In February 2017, we successfully completed on our first sale, within a quick 4 weeks exchange and completion, from the date of their offer. Our vendor was over the moon and thoroughly impressed with our commitment, professionalism, and dedication. We apply these principles to all areas of our business, and we have now completed on 8 sales so far. These ranged from a 4 bedroom country house near Rye, to a one bedroom flat in St Leonards.
Our new addition to the company began in the Spring of 2017. We felt that holiday let management was worthwhile providing and have since been able to provide 7 home owners, so far, with a comprehensive managed service for their successfully run holiday let. The demand for holiday lets is rapidly increasing in budding 'Hastings and St Leonards', so we will invest in this more for 2018.
Patrick Oliver Ltd, has started extremely well in our first year delivering a high quality, professional, local online estate agency, without the high street fees. We have saved our vendors and landlords, thousands of pounds, compared to the high street agencies. We expect that our second year will be an even bigger success and we will continue to invest more in local advertising and networking across Hastings and St Leonards.
We look forward to meeting new clients and helping vendors, landlords, home owners, buyers, and tenants, enjoy selling and buying, tenant finding and renting! It should be cost effective and satisfying, nothing less.
