Home Staging Tips  - Flowers & Foliage

Staging your home for sale is more than just painting the walls, de-cluttering, moving the furniture, it’s about creating a lifestyle!

First impressions are key, as buyers statistically decide to buy their home before they’ve even entered, so clean and polish the entrance. Welcoming planted pots and topiary all set the tone too, or a seasonal wreath can look equally fabulous too.

As prospective buyers enter your home it is very important to not create an impersonal space either, as you want them to feel welcome. We help all our clients do this by advising on which colours and accessories can help enhance each room. One of our top 5 ways to do this, is through flowers and foliage. They create a natural harmony, that appeals to all types of buyers.

Flowers and foliage also enhance a space by bringing in subtle pops of colour and pleasant natural scents, creating a feeling of warmth throughout the home.

We always have an abundance of flowers ready to hand for all our photo shoots – check out our Instagram to see how we use them in our photos. I do love green foliage on a bathroom shelf, or a display of beautiful flowers on the kitchen side or bedside table or hallway side – so many options !

Keep it fresh and seasonal, some buyers are put off by faux foliage – so if you do use faux - make sure it looks the part.

Not too sure where to start or what we’re going on about ! Please do give our teams a call:  Bishops Stortford branch 01279 510300  or St Leonards on Sea branch 01424 390100 and we can pop round and give you some free advice on how we can help.
